Unix asked:
I am 30 years old and my wife and I had a combined income of approx $62,000 for 2006. In august of this year I will be quitting my full time job and going back to school full time. My current salary is $50,000. I anticipate making no more than $20,000 while in school and not being able to get health insurance through work. My income for 2007 will screw up my chances of getting most federal aid for the first year and will probably exclude me from healthy NY as well. Insurance through school is about $600 a month. I've gotten quotes of $513 to $1200 a month for my wife and I. All I want is catastrophic coverage in case either of us have any major problems or I have an accident while riding my motorcycle (a means of transportation, not a toy). These online quotes are driving me crazy. Where is the best place for me to look for something that will cover these specific conditions and how much should I expect to pay? Thanks in advance!!

Best place to look is a local, independent agent, who can tell you not only which major medical policy in your area is most competitive and has lots of providers, but who can explain the coverages. If you take on a $5,000 deductible, it should run you around $300 - $400 a month for the both of you. AND, depending on your state laws, it might not cover motorcycle accident injuries.

I am glad you are happy with your bikes. i have a honda seven years old and never had any problems with it. I use my honda every day because tht is the only vehicle I won.
Affordable motorcycle insurance?
With the nicer weather, time to get out the motorcycles. I specialize in providing fast quotes for very affordable motorcycle insurance.
contemplating eventually selling my car and buying a motorcycle instead.. insurance is more affordable and better gas mileage haha!
If ss stands for super-sport then you cannot afford the insurance. Might want to look into estimates for parallel twins: GS500E, EX500R, GS500F, CB600F, EX650R; or even better, v-twins: SV650, SV650S. But if you insist on an in-line four like CBR, YZF, ZX, GSXR, then look for one that is 7-10 years older.
