So I'm seriously considering a motorcycle, but two of my friends are on opposite sides of the spectrum. One says that you only need like 20 bucks a month for liability insurace because if you crash you'll die anyway. The other says you need a lot of coverage, especially from uninsured motorists due to the fact that hit-and-run has gone up by 200% because of our economy. So I'm not really sure how much insurance I need for my bike, but I already do have car insurance. Then again, I have a feeling they aren't the same...

would get a fair amount of coverage, regardless of anything.. just because it's better to be safe than sorry.
And yes, hit and run has gone up quite a lot.

How much is motorcycle insurance for a 17yo male with a clean record in Louisisna?
If you dont want to go to the trouble of getting your license you can pay like 30 bucks and take a written test and get your permit. which you can use as a license but only lasts 9 months. But motorcycle insurance is pretty cheap. probably less than half of what it costs to insure a car.
And I'm not saying if you get your permit you dont need insurance. You still do, I was just throwing that out there so you can get out on the road faster.
