for basic coverage, 300-1200 a year depending on the bike, and your driving record.

With a clean driving record, i woudl expect it to be on the lower end, another factor involved is if you have no previous history being insured to operate a motorcycle.

My first year insuring a yamaha fjr1300 was 1100, now it is 430 per year, and i have a bad driving record.

In comparison and fjr1300 woudl be more expensive to insure than an old dual purpose bike because its heavier, and more powerfull.

You will probibly laugh when you get a quote on how cheap it will be to insure that bike for an ENTIRE year.
