If you are a young/new rider or have a bunch of points, it's going to be very expensive. See what bike-line.com offers you. They're the cheapest out there, but you get what you pay for when it comes to claims time.

Dont you love your local bike shop riping you of………..they told me £100 at least+ .cheers,i phoned a breakers in cardiff ukand they told me the newer concours-es are even worce with the shit metal in the pegs.the waight of the bike why didnt they do them steal/wouldnt make much difference.the left one on mine aswell is cracking apart(crumbling away like body filler)

You should not get any motorized vehicle without insurance. In addition to the minimum insurance you should get gap insurance to cover the gap between what the bike is worth and what you owe on the loan.
Perhaps you should consider an older bike if you cannot afford a loan or insurance.

Just quoted insurance for the Kawasaki. Progressive is only charging $282/yr in addition to my current policy.
Got a 99 6R..you are right, the oil should be half way up the sight glass ( make sure you have the bike upright on level ground. To top up theres a plastic plug on the same side you undo and pour in the oil through..you will need a funnel as its a bit tricky to get it in the hole..Im using castrol GPS which is a fully synthetic oil and have got over 30K miles on the clock with no problems..this type of engine is best with synthetic..dont know about insurance, depends alot on what type of risk they think you are ring around and get some quotes or look online
