Shella asked:
I am 18 and just purchased a Kawasaki Ninja 250. I am wondering which insurance provider would be the best to go with and also what should be included in my coverage. I have taken a safety course and this is my first vehicle. I live in Dallas if that helps. Thanks for your help.

Progressive, they usually beat others prices insuring motorcycles, and they will give you quotes from competitors as well. Fastest way to find out prices. Collision, comprenhensive,
uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, Medical Coverage for YOUR injuries, and coverage for people involved with an accident for which you are at fault. That should do it.

Again, if you are insuring a sport bike, you may need to sell the bike for a different style of motorcycle. Sport bikes are seen as very high risk machines. Full coverage insurance includes not only liability coverage but comprehensive coverage for damages to the vehicle for accidents and theft. In other words, if you have an accident, the insurance will pay for the damage to the vehicle even if it was your fault. Example – you run the bike off the road and crash it. Ex 2 – Someone steals the bike. Ex 3 – A tree falls on the bike during a wind storm. Ex 4 – The bike is destroyed in a house fire and the property insurance does not cover the bike.
This protects the finance company as well as you. If the bike is damaged, or lost, the insurance will pay the finance company, if you choose not to repair/replace the bike and don't want to pay off the loan.
There is also gap insurance. Gap insurance will insure one for the difference between what one would owe on a vehicle and what an insurance company says it's worth.
