Nina asked:
Is bodily injury the same as medical payments on a motorcycle insurance policy?
Reply:
No, they are different coverages. Bodily injury provides coverage for other people that you may injure in an accident. If you hit someone and they sue you... your bodily injury coverage pays for that (up to whatever limit you may have)
Medical payments coverage provides coverage for you if you are hurt in an accident (regardless of fault). In most states, if you have medical insurance, it would come first and after that money is exhausted then your medical payments coverage would kick in.
Medical payments coverage on a motorcycle is usually pretty expensive so if you have really good health insurance you might want to opt out of the prescription online coverage (depending on how much it will cost you).
